Leisurely Last Day in Prague

Today we decided to just take it easy and enjoy our surrounding in Prague for the last day here.  We started off the morning later than usual with some of the best coffee we've had in Europe so far!  After a couple of americanos to wake us up, we wandered around Prague doing some souvenir shopping and people watching.  It was a lot of fun to just relax a bit and not be on a schedule.  We did pop our heads into a couple of churches along the way, including St. Nicholas Cathedral and the Tyn Church.  Here is a quick shot that we took on our wanderings...

We also wandered over by the impressive National Museum at the head of Wenceslas Square.  It is huge!

Next we headed back towards our hotel to grab a quick bite of lunch.  In the Old Town Square, Matt snapped a picture of this statue of John Huss, who founded the St. Nicholas Church right next door to our hotel.

We were also super excited to see the sun for the first time in Prague (literally).  Unfortunately it was short-lived, but we did get a picture...

After some more milling around Prague, and another coffee stop, we made plans to have an earlier dinner at Masala, an Indian restaurant on the outskirts of the city.  Although it was a long walk, it was well worth it for the delicious meal and escape from all the touristy places in central Prague.

On our way back, the National Museum was beautifully illuminated...

Now we are just working on packing for our journey back to Germany early (5 AM) tomorrow morning.  Next stop, Nuremberg!
Love,
Matt and Kim
